666 Pieces of the Bread of Disgust

666 Pieces of the Bread of Disgust, Martin Gut 2015

The art installation builds on the symbolism of the last supper. It depicts Jesus and his followers, the presence of the devil in the number 666, and the bread of disgust which`s consumption causes suffocation, if one does not remove the hair.

It is a metaphor for the duality between the seemingly good and bad, God and the Devil, Friend and Fiend, as well as the possibility that good will can result in catastrophes.
