Home Game

Home Game, a art installation by Martin Gut, 2008

About a Hooligan with Stadium Ban

The art installation "Home Game" originated on the occasion of the the EURO08 art project "Penalty instead of a One-Two" at KKL Uffikon.

The art installation represents a housing situation of a football fan. The TV-set has been smashed. There is a rock in the tube. The rock is painted in colours of a football. The livingroom is deserted. Empty beer cans, a filled ashtray and a football magazine complete the chaotic scenery.

The spectator is forced to question the originator of this chaos. You imagine a football fan emotionally supporting his squad, and how his emotions erupted in the closing stages of a game with an unfortunate outcome granted the destruction of the TV-set.
